The Mustangs Speech and Debate Team took 1st Place in Class C sweeps on Saturday at the Conrad Invitational. Avery Holden and Trinity Holden placed 1st in Policy Debate with Kayla Haffner and Bayley Grove placing 4th in Policy Debate. Andre Perez placed 1st in Lincoln-Douglas Debate (going undefeated for the tournament) with Claudia Torres placing 9th in Lincoln Douglas Debate. Noah Schmit placed 2nd in Humorous Oral Interpretation. Quin Pray placed 3rd in Impromptu speaking. The team will next compete December 2nd.
Congratulations to Rocky Vance and Chris Rockeman! They recently auditioned for the American Choral Directors Association Northwestern Region Honor Choir, and both made it!
They will be in Portland, Oregon March 7-10 to rehearse and perform with the top music musicians from six states. Rocky will be singing with the TB (all mens) Choir and Chris will be the drummer for the Jazz Choir. Great job to these two students!
The following students have been selected to represent GFCC at the North Central Honor Band & Choir Festival November 27th & 28th.
Students auditioned against top musicians in North Central Montana and were selected to participate in this elite ensemble.
Students will leave GFCC Monday at 11:30 to head to Choteau then be gone all day on November 28th concluding their festival in a concert Tuesday night at 6:30pm
